Tap @ O’Briens: Poured a deep ruby color with an off-white head. Tart aroma with light vinegar notes. Fruity aroma as well. The flavor had some sweet fruity malt to start. The middle was tart and the finish was acidic. Stiff woody/tannic finish. Light to medium body.

Draft. Slightly hazy ruby beer with a cream colored head. Vinegary, woodsy aroma. Acetic, vinegary flavor with malt backing. Nice sourness, but becomes surprisingly smooth with lingering malt sweetness. Medium body. Although smoothless lingers, there’s still a longer acetic bite. Much better than to the 20-to-life.

Last taster @ Stone Sour Fest 2008. Poured a hazy amber with a reddish tint. Aromas of red wine, tart cherries and oak. By now my palate was done for, I think I tasted oak and something sour.......haha.....no more sours for me for a while.

Draft at O’Brien’s. Ruby Color with not much head. Aromas were sour cheer and raspberry. Flavor was much more sour than the aroma had prepared me for. More cherry and other bright fruits. Very tasty. One of the favorites of the night.

On tap at Toronado. This brown ale poured with a thin off-white head. The flavor is very sour on top of a somewhat sweet malt base, with a noticeable hop finish. A pretty good combination. I love what NoCal brewers are doing with wild yeast now.

Dark red color. Lacto-sour smell. Smells like it will be slick and sour. Pretty nice. Sour, but not over the top. I like it.

Pours a bright golden with a spicy and sour nose. The flavor has a big hop front that subsides to a citrus tart mid to finish. Decent lasting finish.
