Draught, Toronado. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is moderately to heavily hoppy (resin), lightly to moderately yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Oof. Man, this is no fun in the aroma...enormous resinous/green hop smell with a lot of raw yeast as well. Ok flavor balance. Not enjoyable for me.

Draught at The Toranado, SF, CA. Beer is clear, medium caramel brown with a tiny, white, frothy, mostly and quickly diminishing head.
Aroma is lighty malty with light notes of toasted grain and caramel; Hoppy with a heavy note of resin/pine, light note of apricot; Yeasty with light notes of sweat and dish rag; Trace note of woody vanilla.
The flavor is heavily bitter, light-to-moderately sweet, lightly acidic with a long, moderately bitter/grippy finish. So much hop bitterness my arms got goose bumpy and my throat tightened up in protest.
The body is medium, the texture is watery-to-velvety and the carbonation is lively.
Harshly bitter, 1-D, not my idea of a good time.

fresh from the tap at the brewery- well of course it tastes awesome if you drink it in the middle of day while hops picking (September 2006) Like an english Bitter, nice grassy taste, that lasts long and grows on you.

(On tap - Toronado) Slightly hazy pale amber golden with an off-white head leaving laces. Fresh, citric nose full of aroma hops. Medium body with very fruity notes of citrus and peach. Distinct bitterness in the finish. 250307

Draft at Toronado in San Francisco. Poured a clear dark golden color. Head was white with good retention and lacing. Aroma was of citrusy hops and tobacco. Ample, pleasant hop bitterness on the tongue. Tobacco came out again in the flavor along with malty cereal grain and some grapefruit. Not bad.

Pours with a clear, golden-orange body topped by a medium thick, white head with a good amount of lacing. It’s bitter and hoppy with lots of pine, a little grapefruit and an underlying malty sweetness. medium bodied, dry and smooth.

Draught at Toronado Pub. Beautiful hop aroma; perfumy. Clear, light amber body with no visible carbonation. Thin, off-white head. Not much lace or head. Very bitter with a little harsh malt at first. As the palate adjusts, the harshness fades. Excellent. A nice find that is clearly underrated.

Sampled on-tap at Flavor bistro in Santa Rosa Opaque peachy amber, almost brown, with that superb littlepearly white honecomb head. Lightly spicy hops aroma at first, the "C" hops eventually shine through, but in a very respectably restrained manner. Somewhat of a rarity in the brews I sampled out here in California, but this one seemed really mellow and balanced out, much more British-style than than whacked out west coast. Crispy cookie malt, lively carbonation that pricks the tongue, hop profile mild but sustained. Very well done!
