Aroma: Nice hoppy nose (dry-hopped) slightly grapefruity as well.
Appearance - cloudy and deepy golden color very attractive, poured with a very thin off white head
Flavor: Nice malat balanced with good bite of bitterness, there were some slight fuity notes as well
Palate: Served at good temps, medium body starts with malty sweetness which yields to hoppy bite which lingers
Overall: This being second beer from Moonlight brewing I am very pleased I tried. I like an IPA that does not punish my palate with hops Oakes (8166), Kowloon, Hong Kong
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 25, 2006 Dark amber colour. Lovely floral, citric aroma. Moderate bitterness, fruity hoppiness. Slightly sticky. The malts are overdone, knocking the balance out of whack. IPAs and chewiness don’t work for me. omhper (12299), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 15, 2006 Draught at Toronado, San Francisco. Clear amber. Aroma of grapefruit and licorice. Dryish with clean, rounded mouthfeel, unfortunately also somewhat sticky. The malt provides a solid body and some cookie flavours. The hops provide an intense, salty bitter finish. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2005 On tap at the Toronado. A well constructed IPA, that was just hoppy enough, and had the right bitterness to it. Not overly complex or flowery but quite satisfying. argo0 (7032), Washington DC, USA
