When you’re in the mood ... and I was .. this has the power to battle the aggressive atmosphere of a Toronado night as the volume is cranked to ear split by bar staff. Hop resin in a glass finding balance with malt to waltz on tongue’s delight. Man Iove this!

On tap at Toronado. This one poured with a short off-white head, with a malty aroma. The flavor was a nice blend of hops and malt, starting sweet but with a fairly bitter finish.

Big hop nose "Hey I might be able to smoke this" quality. Very resinous and oily palate with good fruit and nuts malt. some residual sweetness but huge hop finish that lingers and lingers.

Tasted at the 5th Annual Bistro 2XIPA Fest. Orange gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is malty. Sweet and floral. A medium bodied Imperial IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruit and citrus. Nice balance, hoppy but a nice maltyness to it as well. Medium bitter 2X IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Rating #1 Tap @ Toronado (6 3 7 3 16). A golden amber color with a laced off-white head. A good strong ale with wood, plenty of hops and a bitter aftertaste. Actually fairly well balanced with a lingering malt base. Rating #2 Tap @ Toronado (7 3 6 3 16). A foamy white head on a dark golden colored beer. Rather dry and quick finishing (clean and crisp) with a grassy hop aftertaste. There is a subtle complexity, but I was disapointed in how light this beer was compard to others in the style.

Draft. Hazy deep amber with a thin white head. Citrus and tar aroma. The first sip hits you with a huge pine tar flavor - only later do you get a little caramel and malt. The bitterness coats the tongue and lasts a long time. Good beer, but the pine tar flavor dominates. Big hops.

On tap at the Toronado in San Francisco. Amber coloring with a white head and medium lacing. Dry-hop feel with a very sweet finish. Great beer, but the finish was almost TOO sweet.
