beerguy101 (3861), Newark, California, USA Nov 29, 2008 Tasted at the 2008 Bistro Wet Hop Festival 10/4/2008. This pale lager pours a light to medium gold color from the tap. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is cereal and grainy with a touch of herbal hops. A medium bodied lager(?). The malts are cereal and grain. Hops are herbal and citrusy. Nice balance. Smooth lively carbonation. Lots of flavor for a lager. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
Snojerk321 (1911), San Diego, California, USA Oct 28, 2008 Tap @ O’Brien’s. Pours a mostly clear medium amber with a small off white head. Light herbal hops on the nose with a grainy and resiny flavor, ok. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA Oct 27, 2008 I hate being ’’that guy’’ but this beer was not good. Pours clear bronze with a short white head. Sweet bready aroma with some grassy hops. Taste was foul. Nasty lagery corn that did not blend well with the spruce/pine oil of the hops. Low rating could be from the great APA, IPA, and others I had that preceded this, but due to what I tasted, I am reluctant to try this one again. alexanderj (2204), Chino Hills, California, USA Oct 26, 2008 On tap at O’Briens. Dull, ruddy gold/amber in color. Aroma of sweet malt and fruit. flavor of bread, sweet malt, with only a light hint of hopping. Some fruit. Hint of wateriness; basic but good.
