| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Oct 20, 2009 On tap. Mostly transparent, pale brass colored body with a tall head of fizzy, brilliant white foam. Exceptionally clean, bold floral/herbal hop aroma on top of a light, bready malt base. Crisp, and borderline lemony in terms of the hop profile. Medium light bodied, crisply carbonated mouthfeel with a light, yet smooth and silky texture. The specialty grains help enhance the perception of a soft, silky mouthfeel while providing a dry drinkability. The malt profile has a complexity akin to that of a Bo Pils, only the mild complexity takes on the form of multi-grain bread as opposed to rich, pilsner malt flavors. Pleasantly subtle and complex characters derived from the nuances of the various grains. The hop flavor is crisp and bold, bringing out an assertive floral/herbal bitterness that balances the malt nicely - this trait reminds me more of a German pils. Awesome beer - cleanly executed and wonderfully creative for something seemingly so simple. This beer brings together some of the best traits of a Bo Pils and German Pils and then supplements it with some specialty grains. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA

I love this brewery. illidurit (891), Santa Cruz, California, USA

Earthy aroma with some grassy hops, spicy rye, and light malts. Flavor is toasty and grainy with a super crisp grassy hop finish. Lightly bitter and satisfyingly dry. Another good one from Moonlight. 944play (65), Santa Rosa, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 8, 2009 Draft at Toad in the Hole. Low, dissipating white head on off-clear gold, slight lacing. Subtle bubblegum and minty aromas are partly troubled with a hint of rubber. Flavor is a marvelous melange of Spalty hops, clean strawlike graininess, and a bit of sweetness. Finish is snappy and refreshing with bold bitterness and aromatic notes of blueberry, watermelon, and dark sweet grape remaining. The fact that this is brewed with four grains is neither apparent nor relevant. bhensonb (4339), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 29, 2008 Draft at Sonoma Wine Exchange. Nice grassy hop aroma. Light amber color with a great white head. Medium body with very creamy carbonation. Flavor of wheat and malt - very mildly sweet. The finish is malty, but dry! There’s a decent amount of floral and/or grassy hop. This could pass for an ale. It’s also a lot more complex than I’m able to describe. hapjydeuce (772), Del Mar, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 8, 2008 On tap at Toronado in San Francisco. This was a pretty strange creation I thought. Light amber color with plenty of carbonation but no head on the pour. Aromatics are a confusing combo of the interacting rye malt and oats used. Very grassy and earthy. Sweet toasted cinnamon bread in the flavor that immediately leads to a dry, bittered finish. Almost reminds me of an English brown on hop steroids or something. I had a hard time figuring out the finish. Sessionable. yespr (12313), Copenhagen O, Denmark
