Tap @ Liar’s Club Grand Opening. Poured black with an off-white head. The aroma was tart with some vinegar and roasted malt. It was tart and roasty with a chocolate and coffee finish. Hmm odd. The flavor was roasty and mildly acidic but it actually started to grow on me. Light body with a clean finish.

Tap @ 2nd Annual Stone sour fest. Pours black with a tan ring. Nose was smoky and roasty and malty and strange for a sour. Taste is sweet and tart and malty and strange but also appealing.

ON tap at Liar’s Club. Dark brown with a fizzy white head. Sour dark fruit and sugar aroma. Mild vinegar taste with a very acidic and licorice finish.

I had this beer on tap at Beachwood BBQ’s sour beer fest. This soured version of Death and Taxes (a schwarzbier) is interesting. The souriness hits you up front but it definitely finishes w/ the roastiness of a schwarzbier. Unique & tasty.

looked black to me and had but a halo of suds atop. Very roasty nose with interesting lactic sour backing. Flavors were sour, roasty and actually it all seemed to combine interesting and nice.

Tap @ Stone Sour Fest 2008. Pours a dark rust color with a small off white head. Nose of toasted oak, sweet and sour plums and currants. Flavor was very woody and faintly sour.

Sampled at the Stone Sour Fest. Nose was a little weak. Flavor was still sour. But not an excellent sour like some that we had there. Roasted malts were very interesting in combo with the sour flavors.

On tap at Stone’s Sour Fest 2008. Black. Roasty burnt bitter flavor. My least favorite of the fest. Didn’t finish sample.
