Excellent mouthfeel. Smokey dry end but neither particularly bitter nor sweet: Bitter berry fruit mix well with a sugary alcohol kick. Doesn’t taste as strong as it is, though. Gravicask @ Planet Thanet. Black and oily with nothing much going on in the head department. Chunky aroma of dark chocolate and caramel malt with a slight sour note and some dusty hops. More of the same in the flavour but the malt is so lovely and creamy once it is in the mouth. There is a tangy sweetness too plus some slight harshness from the alcohol but it is not unpleasant by any means, just gives it some bite. Dryish bitter sweet finish with superb length. A GREAT start to the day. GarethYoung (1110), Glasgow, Scotland
