Sep 10, 2009 Draft. An almost opaque black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, sweet malt, and a bit of soy sauce. THe flavor is sweet with strong notes of alcohol, wood, and roasted malt, as well as notes of soy sauce and dark chocolate, leading to a dry finish where notes of alcohol and wood lingers.

Dec 2, 2009 Bottle 66 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours an opaque black with a tiny, light brown head. Hard roasted malt in the nose, dried fruit and a little wood. The body is rich and full while the carbonation is low. Roasted sweet malts, very dried fruits and a hint of licorice. Lightly bitter finish with warming alcohol. 271109

Sep 5, 2009 66 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a fully gone head. Aroma is hardroasted, light metallic and chemical. Smooth roasted, chocolate and breadish flavoured. Light acidic note from the hardroasted flavoured finish. Light bitterness too.

Sep 7, 2007 Cask gravity @ GBBF 2007, London. Medium to dark black color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, mild coffee, light hoppy, alcohol. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finsih feel is light alcoholic.

Aug 29, 2007 Cask@GBBF2007. Dark brown colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is chocolate, alcohol, coffee and some slight roasted malts. Flavour is coffee, vanilla, some roasted malts, burnt wood and hay. Really nice. Slight leathery notes too in the finish.

Sweet aroma of fruits and dried fruits with notes of caramel and roasted notes.
Fruity flavour of dried fruits, hops, caramel and liquorice with roasted notes.
Hoppy finish.
