Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
Our Peat Porter, made even more decadent with the addition of Reserve Port. The image depicts traditional peat cutting which takes place to this day in the levels around Ashcott. As with all our images, it was drawn by local artist Jack Sayer.

Cask@GBBF2008. Deep brown colour, not much head. Aroma is peat, coffee, mild roasted malts and some dark fruits. Flavour is ssour smoked wood, mild roast and some dark fruits and berries balancing it up. Refreshing and wellbalanced.

Cask at GBBF 08. Slightly oily, approaching black in colour. Dark fruits on the nose and then a blackcurrant and dark malt flavour. Smooth and easy to drink. Nice stuff.

Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.
Clear dark red brown color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, buttery notes, peat - smoked notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (020508)

Gravity at Reading Beer Festival 2 May 08. Dark brown colored - almost black. A filmy head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Well integrated ingredients of a good porter. Well crafted!

Dark, rusty body. No head. Roasted chocolate malt in aroma well integrated with the following flavour of liquorice, coffee and dark chocolate. Good mouthfeel. 4.7% ABV in the Reading Beerfest program (gravicask, sampled with Finn at the festival, 02.05.2008).
