cgarvieuk (2541), Edinburgh, Scotland Oct 13, 2007 Cask at troon beer fest 07... Very clowdy (deliberate i think) little sharp pear and woody nose ... sweet lightly tart soft pear harrisoni (5359), Ashford, Kent, England May 2, 2006 From a polypin at Battersea Beer Festival 2006. Thin gold/green colour with a bit of chemical/rubber intense pear syrup aroma. And then dry, but not overly so. Good perry. I liked it. Sign on the polypin gave its title as Moore Triple U Dry Perry chris_o (4409), London, Greater London, England May 1, 2006 From the barrel at Battersea Beer Festival 2006. All in all, a bit of a disappointment, considering the Moores dry perry was one of my favourites. At first we thought this might be the same as the Dry Perry, but its certainly appeared at different places under different names. I wonder whether this was a slightly dodgy barrel because it didn’t have the vibrancy I’d found on the Dry perry and the aroma was a bit musty. If this is matured longer than the normal perry, the maturation doesn’t seem to have done it too any favours. Typical hazy straw perry colour, with an almost fluorescent tinge. Soft and pleasant enough, just didn’t match up to my expectations.
M0RHI (1026), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Apr 30, 2006 Nice perry, cloudy with a small bubbly head. Tastes the way well matured old perries do. Nice drinker, disguises alcohol well. Quite sweet
