Aroma is chocolate, a touch of caramel, and a bit of molasses. Flavor is much chocolate, some roasted malts, and a bit of molasses. Smooth on the palate and easy to drink. Medium bodied. My first mild ale and I can say that I liked it. Simple and straightforward. shrubber85 (2911), Wallhalben, Germany
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 12, 2005 Bottle. A metallic malt and hops aroma. Dark opaque brown with large dissapating head. Slightly sweet molasses malt flavor - smooth with light hops finish - Thankfully there is no metallic taste. Nice tasting but aroma is a bit off. It’s always nice when you find a style you’ve been looking for by accident. Ray1975 (251), Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, USA

Actually fairly pleasant for what it is. Darkover (1313), Columbus, Ohio, USA
