Cask at The Exchange, JDW, Banbury, Oxon, 20-04-09 Pours light amber with a slim white head. Aroma has a touch of citric but also possibly showing signs of being a little past its best. To be fair this looks a good beer, but the taste confirms my suspicions, it’s quite tired the citrus bite has all but gone, bitterness is more staleness, not great, couldn’t finish though I see others drinking it, will look for and try again to re-rate when the opportunity arises. Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 18/4/09. Slightly hazy gold in colour with a moderate white head. Summer fruits aroma with some citrus hops. Easy drinking with citrus hops and a decent bitter finish. Good.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white head. I am finding the Brewers Gold hop to be very tasty, it is quite a light bitter, but with plenty of bite, citrusy, hoppy and dry and in really good condition. Very good.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 09. Gold, lasting thin white. I like this, very drinkable English pale ale, right balance of everything.

Cask in the wenlock arms. Alround rating: Sweet pale malts, peachy fruity character, nice and balanced. Tasty stuff. From speaking to the cellarman this was a bit of an experimentla brew and he wanted feedback and we agreed that it needed just a bit more brewers gold hops to make it excellent. But at the moment still a find drink.
