Excellent beer, hoppy without being too bitter, full of flavour and a beautiful colour. At a local in Bolton it’s on sale at only £1.50 a pint - can’t go wrong

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white head. I am finding the Brewers Gold hop to be very tasty, it is quite a light bitter, but with plenty of bite, citrusy, hoppy and dry and in really good condition. Very good.

Cask conditioned handpump Lloyds Northampton A light gold coloured beer with a nice white head. The aroma and taste both have lovely citrus notes from the hops: grapefruit and lemon in the nose and lemon and orange in the mouth. Really fresh and tasty.

Cask in the wenlock arms. Alround rating: Sweet pale malts, peachy fruity character, nice and balanced. Tasty stuff. From speaking to the cellarman this was a bit of an experimentla brew and he wanted feedback and we agreed that it needed just a bit more brewers gold hops to make it excellent. But at the moment still a find drink.

(Cask at Penderel’s Oak JDW, Holborn, London, 15 Apr 2009) Pale copper colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of biscuity malt, citrus and grass. Fruity, malty taste with citrus and orange peel. Slightly soapy with a generous citrussy bitterness in a fresh finish. Starts sweet, but turns drier towards the end. Nice, fresh and tasty.

Cask, Highcross, Leicester. Light gold with an off-white head. Aromas are peach and grapefruit with peppery hops. Flavours are very fruity with grapefruit and tropical fruit mix. Dry hoppy and moreish with underlying biscuit malts. Sweet and bitter grapefruit on the finish. Very nice.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 09. Gold, lasting thin white. I like this, very drinkable English pale ale, right balance of everything.
