bottle - Pours copper with a one finger head and a mild malt aroma. It has a light caramel malt flavor that’s well balanced with hops. The body is a little too thin, in my opinion, though it’s still a fairly good, quaffable session brew. However, at over five bucks a bottle at the local store, I’ll probably pass on additional bottles. I’m a little puzzled that 5.1% abv is classified as an "english strong ale", but okay...

Pours lightly cloudy orange with a small white head. Sweet nose of caramel, toasty bready malt, apples, and a light earthy spicing. The sweet malts and fruitiness is balanced well by a solid hop finish, lingering bitter into the aftertaste. Light raisin taste in the aftertaste. I enjoyed this beer, tastes very complex with high drinkability.

Bottle from BevMo. Pours a light amber/brownish color. Sweet sticky malty aroma. Some dark fruits as well. Citric and malty up front. Some earthiness. A fair amount of hop bitterness towards the end. Quite quaffable.

Thanks to beer buddy ghawener. Probably the best of the lot (ghawener brought 6 brews from trip). Spicey, nice hops at the end.

500mL. Transparent honey-orange, with a small but persistent head. Aroma is caramel-butterscotch sour apple. Taste is buttered sour apple with the bitter core for the finish. Sour and dry buttery caramel and other sour and dry stuff in-between. Palate is acidic-tingly and dry; light-medium bodied. Lots of interesting flavors here, just none that I fancy so well.

A honey colored beer with no foam at all. Lots of malt in the aroma. First taste was hop which turned immediately into a sweet malty flavor. There is a nice barley bite that provides some bitter depth. Raisin and nuts are evident as well. This is one of those multifaceted complex beers that you just have to love. Its flavor changes from sip to sip and is one of those beers that make you feel like you are drinking it in an English pub.
