Quite fruity, with plenty of dusty hops and just a touch caramel accented malt. Very clean and fresh, with some body. All in quite good balance. No doubt this is a well made beer but it didn’t leave that much of an impression on me. Perhaps just too middle of the road in all departments.

Deep orange amber beer with big bubbly head. Big smoothy of a beer, tight sparkler and swan neck dispense bashed it into a creamy malt beer with little bitterness. I asked for removal of the sparkler and got an "eeh oop cant be doin that" tsk Northerners! theboyollie (5), St Mellons, England does not count | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 5, 2004 I urge you all to go and sit in the Pendle Witch pub in Atherton (sandwiched between Wigan and Bolton) owned by Moorhouses. Sup away with your eyes shut and you could be forgiven for thinking you were actually in heaven. I recommend you go to this pub for their beer bash (which is held over the same weekend as the CAMRA Bent and Bongs Beer Bash held in Athertons Formby Hall which starts on the last Thursday of January).
