Cask (gravity dispense) at White Cliffs Festival 2006. Golden colour. Paler than I expected. Quite fruity, with plenty of dusty hops and just a touch caramel accented malt. Very clean and fresh, with some body. All in quite good balance. No doubt this is a well made beer but it didn’t leave that much of an impression on me. Perhaps just too middle of the road in all departments.

1. Cask Handpump at the Cross Keys, Knutsford 30/03/2001 Plenty of fruit flavour and also a hint of chocolate. 2. Cask Stillage at the Memorial Hall, Northwich 21/09/2002 Ambr golden coloured and sweet on the palate. Slightly bitter finish.

Cask gravity Dover BF 06. Copper with thin head. Nice fruit, very drinkable. Good premium bitter. Could drink a lot of this. Good balance, well made beer (as SilkTork wouldn’t say)

Cask Conditioned at The Cock & Bottle, Skipton, Yorks. Deep orange amber beer with big bubbly head. Big smoothy of a beer, tight sparkler and swan neck dispense bashed it into a creamy malt beer with little bitterness. I asked for removal of the sparkler and got an "eeh oop cant be doin that" tsk Northerners!

I urge you all to go and sit in the Pendle Witch pub in Atherton (sandwiched between Wigan and Bolton) owned by Moorhouses. Sup away with your eyes shut and you could be forgiven for thinking you were actually in heaven. I recommend you go to this pub for their beer bash (which is held over the same weekend as the CAMRA Bent and Bongs Beer Bash held in Athertons Formby Hall which starts on the last Thursday of January). Enjoy!

(Cask-conditioned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, Sweden) Amber with a small dissapearing white head. Sweet malty aroma with notes of green apples. Sweet malty flavour of toffee and pears with a unpleasant finish of sour green apples.
