Nov 28, 2008 From cask at Guildford Arms. Pours dark and slight cloudy deep orange with a small white head. Mild malty fruity aroma. Flavour has mild smoke note on the back of the nose to a slight breadish malt flavour. Ends medium flat and malty. Has a mild smoke note of the back of the nose.

Apr 30, 2002 Sampled cask conditioned. Copper coloured. Nutty. Light bodied, sweet. Fruity, very distinct roasty flavour. A hint of apples. Medium bitterness. A beer with a lot of personality.

Oct 29, 2009 Cask@Akkurat, Stockholm. Copper colour, small bubbly head. Aroma is zest, wood, some nuts and also mild caramel malts. Flavour is the same ending in a rather bitter and semidry way.

Hazy amber color. Breadish malt aroma. The aroma is not impressive, but it has a far better flavor (between a 7 and an 8), with good malt, light fruitness, strong bitterness. The final (long and boldly bitter) is lightly metallic. Very good.

Ambr golden coloured and sweet on the palate. Slightly bitter finish.

Feb 7, 2006 Cask gravity Dover BF 06. Copper with thin head. Nice fruit, very drinkable. Good premium bitter. Could drink a lot of this. Good balance, well made beer (as SilkTork wouldn’t say)

Jul 24, 2009 Cask @ Wethersponns Manchester. Golden color. Nutty vinous flavor with tangerine and earthy and flowery hops. Earthy hops and chloride in the aftertaste. Indifferent aroma. Not a prize winner, though initially a decent beer.

Mar 16, 2005 Cask Conditioned at The Cock & Bottle, Skipton, Yorks. Deep orange amber beer with big bubbly head. Big smoothy of a beer, tight sparkler and swan neck dispense bashed it into a creamy malt beer with little bitterness. I asked for removal of the sparkler and got an "eeh oop cant be doin that" tsk Northerners!
