Apr 16, 2006 Cask the Penny Black, Bicester, 15-04-06. Golden ale with citric and hoppy notes, and a wonderfullly citric taste that at once reminded me of pink grapefruit, good level of bitterness and hops and a jolly good beer I was most impressed.

Clear golden coloured and sweet on the palate. Poured lively. Outstanding full hop finish.

Amber golden coloured and citrus. Hop finish.

Golden amber coloured slightly hazy appearance. Some sour fruit and a crisp malt finish.

Oct 24, 2005 (cask at Akkurat, Stockholm) Dark golden with a creamy longlasting white head. Weak aroma of grass, butter and grains. Creamy flavour of butter, salt grassy bitter hops with disturbing eggy note. Dry, grassy and salty bitter finish.

Hazy light amber color. The aroma is light, breadish. It has an ordinary flavor for a Golden Ale, with a light yeast touch (both flavor and aroma), and a correct bitterness. Easy but pleasant.

Amber color. Very nice hoppy aroma; some yeast. Some good malt, very good hopping, aromatic, very strong.

Pale amber. Aroma of hay and toffee. Medium dry with soft rounded mouthfeel. Light bodied but firm and generously hoppy. The finish has some herbal spices that fades out into noteworthy, almost resiny bitterness. Very flavourful for a 3.7% beer.

Pale amber. Dry and light bodied. Salty hops and vague soapiness. Bitter finish. Unrefined and not in good condition. (5/4/4/2/9)
