Sampled at the Medway Beer Festival 2006 on 18/11/06 - Quite average. Mid brown and sweetish. A Lancastrian brew of the usual fairly low stndards for that county!

Cask handpull at Wellington, Covent Garden. Pale copper beer. Refreshing hop/citrus bitter. Juicy malt in mouth, very drinkable

A standard tasting bitter, on pump at the full moon in newcastle-under-lyme. Nothing exceptional, slightly malty and hoppy.

(Cask-conditioned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, Sweden) Dark golden/copper colour, small creamy white head. Light acidity in aroma of green apples and rubber. Malty and slightly hoppy flavour of sour apples. Is it supposed to taste like this?. Not in good condition, I guess.

Amber color. Quite nice hoppy aroma. Malty, good hop, well bitter but less biting than the Premier Bitter tasted side-to-side.

Cask Conditioned, at the Penderels Oak, Holborn, London.
Golden with a fine white head. SFA aroma and flavour. Rather poor effort really.

Cask. In fine condition. Amber with white head. Clean hoppy flavour with that distinctive Moorhouse dry twang with bitterness at the end. An interesting brew worth trying. This beer changed after 2 days, it lost most of its bitterness and tasted much sweeter, still pleasant. So initially a hoppy bitter beer becoming sweeter the longer it is served. This is fairly unusual as beers tend to become less sweet but probably explains some of the other comments about lack of hops.
