Flip top bottle marked use before 10/06 and that I did. Medium ivory fizzy head that mostly diminished with lackluster lacing, transparent, carbonation, and an orange hue. Malty, caramel and subtle hops in the nose. Flavor was sweet, caramel, malty and mildly bitter hops. Mouthfeel was smooth with a light tingle and a light-medium body.

21.05.06 Jimmack Invitational ’06 I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the beers from this little known brewery. This keller has a nice soft body made up of dark golden beer. Bready yeasts come through with temp adding a complimentary tartness. It’s a bit nutty. Decent quaff and pretty cheap if I recall.

Bottle from Super Saver. Dark straw pour with 1-finger off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, fruit, hopcitrus. Very maibocky aroma and flavor, with the fruit and hopcitrus taste, and caramel malt notes. This one gets a bit tart as it warms up.

Bottle. Dark copper with a large frothy white head. Pleasant earthy aroma with notes of caramel, dark rye, and faint hops in the background. Interesting profile though not exceptionally hoppy. Mostly flavourful caramel, toasted bread, and creamy soapiness. Nothing really stood out but it’s still quite drinkable. Purchased at Merchant’s Fine Wines in Dearborn, MI in July of 2006.

Pouring a deep dirty gold body with a short-lived creamy head, this has a bready, caramel malt aroma topped by an earthy, herbal hopping. I was impressed by the creaminess of this lager. The malts taste like lightly honeyed toast and the hops become more herbal, mildly bitter. A good sessionable brew.

Pours deep straw/orange with a large white head that quickly dissipates. It has a grainy aroma with hints of honey, cream, sweet bread, and grassy hops - very weak. What a dissapointing flavor too. There is a corn, skunk taste with a bitter vegetable aftertaste. It tastes like there is something seriously wrong with the hops they have used. There are very few good qualities - an herbal finish and a creamy texture - but that’s about it. Overall, this is a poor quality beer. I’d almost rather have a Miller Lite ...almost.

Being only my second kellerbier, i had no idea what to expect and found this intresting. Aroma is fruity, fresh and grassy hops also. Taste is similar very very drinkable. Assuming this is unfiltered as it was cloudy.

Rating for Moosbacher Kellerbier at 5.2%, as seen <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/beerimages/full_size/ Best by 09/06.

Amber/copper-bodied with faint carbonation and an off-white head that holds. Odd aromas are milky, dusty and herbaceous with honey and burnt grain. Wet-and-creamy mouth strikes me as a nitro beer that has been sitting awhile. Smooth, bitter tea flavor with evident malts, a drop of honey and an herbal hop finish.
