Liked this a bit more than the Harpoon Keller tried earlier in the day. Malty aroma with some caramel and a bit of cloves and tea. Flavor was biscuity malts, caramel and some hop bitterness on the finish. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | May 28, 2006 Bottled. Clear, medium brown in color with a small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing head. The aroma was marred by a moderate amount of DMS. Otherwise it was malty with a light note of toasted grain; light hop not of herb; light yeast note of dough; miscellaneous notes included a trace of banana and a light note of brewed black tea. The flavor was moderately sweet, lightly acidic and lightly-to-moderately bitter with a long, moderately acidic, lightly bitter finish with a corney aftertaste. The body was light, the texture was watery and the carbonation was lively. Ernest (4495), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted bread), with a strong note of DMS.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Whew, not much in the nose but a chemically vegetable brine stink. Off aftertaste as well. I certainly hope this was a bad bottle/batch, rather than being representative. The Weissbier was not very good either, however. MullMan (1083), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 22, 2006 Like "theshocker" we also didnt have the "Alt" written on the label. Willblake brought this new brewer to Jimmacks place. Pretty decent stuff, but not great overall. This one pours a relatively clear deep gold with a thin lasting head. Aroma starts off a bit bland when cold, but as it warms, some light fruity esters come out and a nice floral herbal hop character comes through backed up by warm bready pils malt. Light caramel sweetness in the flavor with a mild hop bitterness in the end- not much else going on, except it tasted a bit fresher with more body then the harpoon kellerbier. ps- Jon rewrote my notes to give this beer a 4.5 and said "it rocks:" So I guess he either really liked it, or just wanted to mess with me. theshocker (329), Marietta, Georgia, USA

Coppor color, inviting white head. Mild, floral nose with some malt. Dry body, a touch of fruit. Fills the mouth nicely. pivnizub (5051), Bochum, Porúří, Germany
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 25, 2005 Swing-top bottle: Copper coloured, thin and a bit lacing white foamy layer; sweetish malty nose with a touch of caramel and dried fruit; initial slight sweet maltiness; light bitter-sweet flavour; longer lasting finish: combination of dry bitter tones with maltiness. Not great, but goes down well.......
