Bottle. Swing-top 500mL. Pretty gold pour. Fluffy white head. Nose is honey, sweet malts, grains, light grass, and some buttery notes. Taste is delicious! This is what I think of when I think of German lagers. Buttery and toasty malts, honey-ish flavors, grains, light grassy hops and light bready notes. Body is medium-full. Above average carbonation. Finishes with more toasty, buttery malts, grains, grassy hops and honey. This is so much more than a typical "pale lager". I really liked this at the last Bon Vivant Beer Lovers Club and had many samples. Really a well done beer, in my humble opinion.

Very good beer! Delicious in fact! Got this bottle from Sam’s in Chicago a couple of weeks ago. Poured with a nice foamy, frothy, white head and a little lace. Bright & clear yellow gold color. Aroma is mildly sweet, malty, a bit of hops, beery. Flavor has a lot more going on. Bigger interplay between sweetness and bitterness. Tasty. Good pale German lager body and carbonation. Clean balanced finish leaves me asking for another swallow. Excellent finish. Session beer.

Moosbacher Lager 500ml swing-top bottle. 24K golden yellow color, whie foamy head. clean aroma of light barley malt. Some spicy noble hops as well. Flavor has a crisp malt character, bitter hop charcter in the finish. Smooth finish. Light - medium bodied. premium 7,5,7,5,14

hazy gold. small white head. clean refreshing aroma. light citrus, spice, and herbal hop flavor. this is actually really good. smooth mouthfeel without the harsh, overly carbonated bite. no cheap tasting syrupy honey flavors. good hops and a smooth mouthfeel in pale lager? what else could you ask for! top notch. 7/8/07 i recently picked up a bottle of this with the "hell" erased from the label and the abv is 5.0%. seems to have a more syrupy corny flavor with less hops and herbal notes as beer i rated above.

From an imported flip-top 0.5L bottle--it poured very light yellow with just the barest haze and a bright white foamy head. Stark buttery hoppy aroma. Germanic and tight, this is a nice light lager. It’s smooth, with a light hoppy frosting over a mellow malt foundation. Soft to the palate. Quite good. (#2746, 3/14/2007)

Pours light yellow with a mostly receding off-white head. Notes of herbal noble hops, pilsner malt and sweet bread dough. Light bodied with lively carbonation.

Bottle, thanks Pivnizub. Pale green-golden, champagne bubbles, creamy white head. Fresh green hop aroma, grassy, light metallic. Light yet chewy bready body with a solid hop balance - but nut quite enough pitterness to push it into the pilsner category. wellattenuated, fine sparkly mouthfeel. Aromatic hop aftertaste. Very nice.
