wheat and slight banana on the nose...not a whole lot there to speak of. hazy brown pour with very light tan frothy head. Surprisingly unflavorful. sweet bread notes mixed with a little banana. not bad...just wish it had more flavor.

Aroma is of a spiced dark earthy bread, like a pumpernickel, and palate is sparkly and fizzy. Spicy notes are long lasting, but beer is thin and watery. Flavor does not hold up either. Certainly does not taste like wheat. Kind of icky, should not have bought it, but the bottle is cool. Might make a bong later with it.

Sampled at Lundeen’s Brew Ha-Ha 2009. Pours a cloudy, amber color with a modest white head. Aroma consists of an average caramel and toffee presence with a light grape, pineapple and light spicy note. Flavor is a bit fruity with a weird melding of cranberry, pineapple and red grape as the basis of the flavor on top of a light toasted malt. Medium body with a moderately sticky texture. Overall not too bad.

Bottle. Cloudy medium brown with a large off-white foam. Aromas are light chocolate and weetabix with bready yeast and spices. Some cookie dough. Flavours are weetabix and cola with sweet wheat and light chocolate. Sweet and malty, yet fairly thin. Yeasty with decent carbonation. Reasonable.

Bottle. As Moosbacher Schwarze Weisse. 5.0%. Cloudy brown color with a big stable beige head. Aroma of fruity esters, bubblegum, toffee, marshmallow hints, slightly toasted bread and some spiciness - pretty big on the phenols. Sweet malty flavor with wheat, caramel, fruits, a bit of toffee, refreshing light citric tartness and some yeast. Medium-bodied. Really refreshing. Drinking this before breakfast and enjoying every sip.

In the 0.5L flip cap bottle from HyVee CB. Pours a cloudy medium brown with a very large off white head. Delicious roasted caramel flavors with a delightful mild tartness- lemon in fact- finish. Banana aroma.

0.5L bottle, small fluffy head, light muddy brown with some yellowish streaks and just a touch hazy, aroma of bubblegum and vanila with spicey hints, flavours of bubblegum and touches of dark fruit, medium bodied, medium sour aftertaste. Quite nice.

Pours a dark brown, opaque body with thick, fluffy head that fills the Schneider Weizen Edle-Weisse glass (and then some)...malt and yeast esters float clove, banana and vanilla--quite a tantalizing combination, clear and crisp... thin, slightly effervescent in the mouth; the weakness may be in due part to its age (drink by 12/07?)... smooth with only a bit of back bite... the sightest sediment tickles with a soft acidic presence... the malt and yeast explosion simmers quickly, and what promises by look and smell to be a strong, thirst-quenching palate pleasure turns out only half right: smooth and easy drinking, yes, but the weight that would be the dunkel seems to have been misplaced...
