Schwarze Weisse label. Pours dark brown with off white head. Aromas of wheat and clove. Similar flavors with some citrus. Medium body with average carbonation. Not bad, just not very interesting.

500ml Bottle - Brown in colour with red tinges and a foamy head. Lightly fruity aroma with some raisins and malty. Fruity and slightly tangy taste with a moderate bitterness. Nothing special.

Bottle. Schwarze Weisse. Dark muddy brownish pour, with some sediment, huge foamy head. Aroma of caramel, banana, pepper, and yeast. Flavor is yeasty, bready, mild banana, maybe corriander,a little spicy. Pretty good mouthfeel, kind of a thin body, crisp finish. Not the best brew in the world but was drinkable and fun to try.

The diarrhea brown color was a turn off but the appearance was neutered somewhat by the aesthetic foamy head that retained its lattice-work lacing throughout the glass. There was yeasty, harvest odor and a nice wheat sting with the first taste. The flavor evolved as I drank though into that of burned chemicals on to an almost tastelessness with a flair of chocolate, molasses. Creamy overall, the ending consistently was an aftertaste of lingering sourness that was not that unpleasant but not great either. This is a category of beer that’s not that appealing in the first place and this particular beer doesn’t hold a candle to the best one I’ve tried, the Schneider Aventinus. On the plus side it was drinkable and refreshing.

Pours a dark amber/brown with a generous off-white head and lots of carbonation. This beer was still fizzing several minutes after pouring. Decent lacing. Dough and yeast Aroma, with hints of citrus. Taste is a bit metallic, with coffee flavors.

The label on the bottle was Schwarze Weisse. It poured a fairly clear caramel brown color then the sediment began to cloud the bear as it gently mixed into the glass. Even with the cloudiness there were still carbonation bubbles visible rising in the glass. There was a foamy tall off-white head that settled down to about 1". There was a nice bread like yeast aroma with a hint of hops. The initial taste was crisp & clean with a very little bit of sweetness. There was a slightly dry finish with a bit of a metallic taste.

Pours a hazy brown with a creamy off-white head. Has an aroma of earthy red apple with a tangy zip. Smells a bit like a tripel. Lively fizz with a zip in the finish. Interesting beer.

Bottle as Schwarze Weisse (5.0%) from D&J Liquor in St. Louis, MO. Pours a dark cola color with a frothy tan head. Aroma is rather roasted caramel with something like grassy/spicy hop. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is dark malt, mildly sweet, with lots of spicy hop. Spicy, not bitter. Finishes a bit thinner than it started, but the nice flavors hold on to the end and beyond. Very drinkable.
