I was not impressed with this beer. It reminded me of a weak, watered down syrup with extra metallic flavoring added.

label says schwarzeWeise.Pours a cola color with a thin lacing head.Aroma had cereal and malts.Mouthfeel was watery with a grainy tatse.Finish was bitter and couldnot get the last few ounces down.this by far was the worst of this style I’ve had. This couldn’t have been German standards.

Bottled under the name Moosbacher Schwarze Weisse. I’m surprised this one gets such a bad rating! Hazy brown, with a medium beige head. Sweet molasses aroma, quite fruity. Fruity also on the palate, with figs and raisins. Long finish.

Molasses, raisin, and hop aroma, with wood and nut undertones. Relatively dark brown color with a huge almond colored head. Flavor is very, very sour, with only traces of bark. Weak moss finish. Enjoyable, but given the price, it isn’t a great value.

Dark colored beer with faint white head. Sweet toffee malt nose that had defnintly soured. Grainy body with caramel hints.

Not very good for one of my favorite styles. Aroma has light wheat and some chemicals. Flavor is a sour, too sour for the style. There is wheat in there as well, but no fruit or spices common to the style. There is a lot of yeast and the color is right. This beer was probably off.

(bottle, thanks Brewfiend) Pours dark brown with a white head. Slight wheat aroma with some light banana smell too. A somewhat sour acidic taste with a little wheat on the finish.

[Bottle] Pours light brown with a small white head. Aroma is sweet and quite weak. Sour taste up front, then followed by strawberry jam. There was talk that this bottle was bad, and although I thought it was pretty strange, I didn’t think it was undrinkable by any means.
