Nice ruby red color with solid white foam and lacing. Hazy as all wheats but darker than expected. Good flavors and a nice undertone of banana esters showing through.

Bottle. 500mL swing-top. Labeled as Schwarze Weisse. Dark amber to copper pour. Nose is chocolate covered bananas, caramel, sweet malts and candyish aromas. Toasted malts, banana, light chocolate, caramel, wheat notes, and light spice. Body is creamy, well carbonated and medium palated. Finishes with more chocolate, banana notes, wheat, stronger yeast and sweet malts.

50cl bottle swingtop - Pours cloudy light brown with a fair white head and a little lace. Aromas of bannana, caramel, some earty notes and even a touch of clove. Flavor is caramel, bannana, toasted malts, and a hint of bubblegum. Palate was medium bodied with a fair amount of carbonation and a soft mouthfeel.

Bottled as Moosbacher Schwarze Weisse. Hazy deep orange pour, thin white head. Lackluster wheat aroma, banana skins, stale earthiness. Flavor has an unpleasant bitter component, with crackers(triscuits), toasted malts. Finishes semi-dry, lingering. Overall unpleasant. It amazes me that the company who imports this chose this barely functional brewery as their initial offering in the U.S. market. Hehe, rookies.

50cl swingtop, best by 08/07. Hazy reddish caramel with a big, rocky, off white head. Nose is banana, toasty malt, wheat. Flavor is a little like an old dishrag kind of funky, light banana and a toasty quality. Another eh.

Hazy mud brown color, small off-white head. Sour, peppery-wheaty aroma. Wheaty with sour milk flavours, glue-like notes. Solid body, but nothing else - not very fruity, also too little roast or alcohol punch for a good dunkelweizen. Finish has some citric lemony notes.

Pours caramel-brown with a nice frothy head. Bready-spice aroma. Sweetish flavor with spicy finish. A bit metallic on the end though - otherwise would be better.
