wheat and slight banana on the nose...not a whole lot there to speak of. hazy brown pour with very light tan frothy head. Surprisingly unflavorful. sweet bread notes mixed with a little banana. not bad...just wish it had more flavor.

Pours a dark brown, opaque body with thick, fluffy head that fills the Schneider Weizen Edle-Weisse glass (and then some)...malt and yeast esters float clove, banana and vanilla--quite a tantalizing combination, clear and crisp... thin, slightly effervescent in the mouth; the weakness may be in due part to its age (drink by 12/07?)... smooth with only a bit of back bite... the sightest sediment tickles with a soft acidic presence... the malt and yeast explosion simmers quickly, and what promises by look and smell to be a strong, thirst-quenching palate pleasure turns out only half right: smooth and easy drinking, yes, but the weight that would be the dunkel seems to have been misplaced...

Pours hazy light amber with orangish hues and a big foamy tan head. Notes of clove, caramel, and mild banana. Taste tends more towards bread dough, phenols and sweet yeast, Medium bodied with lush carbonation. My first bottle of this beer was old and oxidized, which made the beer have more chlorine and plastic flavors. This bottle was fresh and delicious. 2006.06.11: 7.3.5.3.13 = 3.1 2009.07.31: 7.4.7.4.15 = 3.7 2009.07.31: Ar 7 Ap 3 Ta 7 Mf 4 Ov 14

50cl bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a dark brown with thick and frothy tan head that settles slowly and laces the glass. Aroma is sweet malt, yeast, wheat, caramel, ripe plum, maybe some notes of raisins. Flavor is similar with sweet malty notes, ripe dark fruit, yeast, wheat and hints of caramel. Light to medium-bodied with just a tinge of sour, bitter aftertaste. The finish is about the only thing I really didnt enjoy.

Poured a murky brown color with a medium sized off-white head. The aroma was sweet and malty. Some fruitiness mixed in and light notes of leather. Sweet caramel flavor with notes of raisins and bread. Semi-dry finish.

50cl swing-top bottle. Pours a very hazy, medium brown. White creamy head. Aroma is a spicy floral. Yeastt, dough, lemon zest and big clove scents. Flavor is of rich toasted wheat. Some flavors of pepper and a sligbht tartness. Finishes with a yeasty dryness and a calming hop bitterness. A super-good Dunkelweizen. Prost!
