Pour is a very cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma is outstanding with lots of grain and citrus. Some banana and vanilla show up. Flavor is much of the same some citrus and clove with a vanilla back bone. A tasty treat from start to finish.

swingtop bottle. Pours with a large head and a hazy honey color. Wow a strong sweet bread aroma, too sweet. Taste is pretty bland compared to the aroma, granted my sample is a few months past the best buy date. But it is still sweet with a slightly dry finish. Whatever.

Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown swing top bottle this beer poured a yellow-golden color with a large white head. The aroma was a very nice mix of wheat, orange and lemon. The flavor was sweet, yeast and lightly bitter with undertones of lemon and banana. The mouthfeel was rather thick for a hefeweizen. Solid.

Swingtop 500ml bottle. Pours with huge head. Scents of green apples with banana and wheat notes. Yeasty flavor, with dry lingering aftertaste. Finishes on a crisp note. overall a decent beer

Wow....This beer shows that Germans originated the hefe. I’m suprised this isn’t scoring higher with others. Aroma of full on banana with wheat and yeast. Pour was a lighter dark gold with a 1 finger white head with lots of small bubbles. Taste was full blown banana with bread and yeast in the throat. Strongly carbonated and deliciously semi dry. Glad this was 500.

Rated 2/2/07: Not your ordinary Hefe, but it’s interestingly a good drink. Aroma is a little mellow some decent malt, grainy and wheaty with some sour fruits. Dark yellow pour with a light orange tint, huge fizzy white head that thickens up and settles down. Mouthfeel is alright nothing too spectacular. Taste has a hint of banana but I can’t stop thinking of applesauce. It’s odd but nice, now this one is about 4 months past the best before date, but there is a nice flavor of unsweetened applesauce that accompanies this beer. Ahhh, crisp clean finish. Not bad.

Swingtop bottle. Green apple, banana and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy dark orange-yellow with nice big head. Sour malt, lemon and banana flavor. Decent Hefe - probably better fresh from the tap.

Swingtop bottle at Rathskeller, Indy. Poured cloudy yellow color with a huge frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate sour citrus and spice aroma. Light to medium bodywith a watery texture. Light sour citrus flavor with a light sweet finish with a short duration.
