Nice little pop when opened. Poured like a traditional hefe weisse. Smelled like a traditional hefe weisse. Tasted like one too. But was a bit sour. Body was decent - mouth filling and good carbonation. Good finish. Session beer. daknole (3032), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 26, 2009 Bottle from Total Wine. Golden pour, white head. Aroma is full of wheat and yeast with light fruit accents and tons of malt. Flavor is crisp with yeast, wheat and light light hops. Clean and easy but nothing out of this world. det2nj (31), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 30, 2009 nice carbonation and mouthfeel, but unappealing aroma and sour aftertaste. bitter, grassy-- not a classic hefeweizen. Rciesla (3880), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 21, 2009 Bottle. Golden body with a white head. Wheat some light apple and a hint of bubblegum, light carbonation bite but not spiced per say. A hint of banana and some lemon grass. Not so good. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Pours golden with a fizzy short lived head. Smell is very yeasty and doughy. Not really the expected hefeweizen smell at all. Taste is more like a doughy lager than a hefeweizen. No banana, or clove or traditional yeasty flavors. Unpleasant, really. Yeasty, musty and just a bit gross. Medium to thin body and soft carbonation. Not recommended. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 25, 2009 Hazy amber beer with fluffy thick foam that dies to a film and ring. Moderate lacing. Tangy fruit in the aroma, but no tanginess in the flavor. Pleasant dry wheat, some apple fruitiness, with a more than a touch of caramel sweetness and a bit of alcohol in the finish. Quite pleasant. kappldav123 (1895), Markkleeberg, Germany
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 19, 2009 The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. The beer tastes strong and very fruity, but from the beginning much too sourish. So I didn’t enjoy it. 17thfloor (1513), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 16, 2009 Pours a very clear glowing golden with no carbonation bubbles but a nice medium thick dense frothy white head that leaves excellent lacing as it fades. Heavily spiced aroma, tons of clove, almost only clove, touch of butter and banana. Flavor follows aroma, heavily spiced, clove, lemon-pepper, toasted banana, malted-wheat, fairly sweet with noticeable buttery notes. Quick finish that is slightly bitter. Watery body, low carbonation despite the large pop off the pop-top bottle (which I’ve recently learned that the reason for the large pop and flat beer is that most of the carbonation has escaped the beer into the neck). A decent drinkable if not sweeter hefeweizen.
