badgerben (3586), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Apr 18, 2005 Light brown color with a thin head. Some malt and caramel in the aroma. Sweet and slightly bitter taste with a bit of malt and bread hitting the back. It’s a good start to an Abbey, but certainly not near the finish line. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Apr 17, 2005 Amber Coloring with White Ring. Caramel, Malt Aroma. Starts off Sweet and Quickly Very Dry...wth a Hoppy Aftertaste. Decent Overall But More Like a LITE Version of an Abbey. JPDIPSO (4864), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Jan 21, 2005 Light copper color with a moderate off white head. Served way to cold and in a frosted glass to add insult to injury. Why? How can the masses learn more if the brewers can even get the beer served correctly. Enough ranting. Mild caramel and fruit in the aroma, with hints of yeast and peppery hops. Smooth after it warms. Mild fruit, with raspberry and mild cherry flavors. Mild spicy finish which helps take back some of the fruit sweetness. A very light abbey. Very drinkable and fit for the masses. Now just serve it right or at least close to right.
