Taste of tart and sour apples. Very light body. Some bready yeast that, to me, doesn’t play well with the apples. JPDIPSO (4923), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 24, 2007 Straw color with just a few bubbles meandering about the top of the brew. Somewhat fizzy in feel. Light aromas of cider and pale grains. Light sweet apple start with a touch of tartness. A bit of bread dough. Mild apple pie flavors with crust, apple and hint of mace. A light summer fruit beer. Skyview (4057), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 23, 2007 Sampled on draught at the brewpub/restaurant in Wisconsin Dells. Pours a clear golden light amber brew with an average white head that dissolves to a creamy ring. Aroma of bready malts, some flowery hops and a hint of pear/apple fruit. Taste has a good balance of bready malt and tart apples. Palate is medium bodied with low carbonation. Finish is slightly gritty, some alcohol with a tart fruit aftertaste. Not as tart and dry as last year’s batch. Ughsmash (4046), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 21, 2007 Hand-bottled thanks to jarlbartar. Poured a brighter light golden with lots of particles floating around in there and a loose ring of white head. Aroma picked up pale malts, tart apple skins, and freshly-sliced apples.. not what I usually look for in a beer, but nothing offensive. Flavor had a light, pale grainy malt base with accents of sliced apples and apple cider.. left a vinegary/tart apple finish. Light-bodied and grainy on the palate with tartness in a few spots. This was not very enjoyable. jarlbartar (88), Janesville, Wisconsin, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 12, 2007 Poured a crystal clear yellow from the tap with a white head that retained very well. Lots of carbonation bubbles climbing their way to the top of the glass, looked a lot like Mountain Dew. Very, very weak aroma of apple cider vinegar and not much else. Palate of apple, light vinegar, light honey and grass. A very watery beer with not much going on. Judging by my experiences with this brewpub, and what I have read from other reviews, it seems like this brewpub can’t brew the same beer with any consistency from batch to batch. I understand the complexities of i, but for this beer alone, I have read a cloudy to clear for color and several other beers seem to have inconsistencies. It just seems like they are trying to make basic beer, which is fine, but it seems like a waste that all of these tourists could be getting turned on to good beer that is full of flavor and just knocks your socks off. But instead they flock there just because it says "brewpub" on the sign. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 7, 2006 (Tap) Pours yellow with virtually no head. Apples in the aftertaste, but that’s it. Rather watery and bland. Not my favorite.
