Sampled on draught at the brewpub/restaurant in Wisconsin Dells. Pours a clear golden light amber brew with an average white head that dissolves to a creamy ring. Aroma of bready malts, some flowery hops and a hint of pear/apple fruit. Taste has a good balance of bready malt and tart apples. Palate is medium bodied with low carbonation. Finish is slightly gritty, some alcohol with a tart fruit aftertaste. Not as tart and dry as last year’s batch.

On Tap @ Buffalo Phil’s (Wisconsin Dells) Menu said brewed by Moosejaw Pizza and Dells Brewing Co. Apparently a cowboy favorite... Poured a hazy pale gold with a nice frothy white head. Aroma was apple tartness over a biscuity malt. Flavour definitely had apparent apple flavours, a cidery body with pale malts backing. Clean bitter/tart fruity finish. Pretty tame, but tasty enough.

Straw color with just a few bubbles meandering about the top of the brew. Somewhat fizzy in feel. Light aromas of cider and pale grains. Light sweet apple start with a touch of tartness. A bit of bread dough. Mild apple pie flavors with crust, apple and hint of mace. A light summer fruit beer.

A clear, light straw colored beer with a slight white head that lingered and laced a bit. Slight spicy nose. Fleeting apple taste is very nice when you get it. Taste is Corteland or some other spicy apple. Very light handed with the apples, but that is not a bad thing. Very light bodied, and light all the way around. Extra credit for attempting this difficult beer (to make).

This was a crazy beer. I never had an apple beer before, so I didn’t know what to expect. Pours a light yellow colour with a heavily aromatic apple bouquet. a light mouthfeel, somewhat grainy but apples all the way through. Not citrusy like a cider, but just super wicked green sour apple fruity.

On Tap at the Great Lakes Brewfest. Hazy amber with a thin white head. Aroma of apple peel, apple, cinnamon, Taste is more of the same with a dryness to it that’s akin to eating an apple.

Cloudy amber with a small, white head. Grainy, red-apple peel aroma. Grainy, slightly sandpapery mouthfeel.

A growler thanks to Skyview. Clear yellow color with a medium head. Lemony aroma. Taste of tart and sour apples. Very light body. Some bready yeast that, to me, doesn’t play well with the apples.
