Moosejaw Apricot Ale

Sampled on draught at the GTMW ’08. Pours a semi-clear golden orange brew with a nice white head that slowly dissipates to a white ring. Aroma of peach/apricot character with some multi-grain malt in the background. Taste is light to medium bodied with some carbonation with flavors of apricots and light multi-grain malts. Finish has a nice balance of both apricots and malt grain with a touch of grassy hops that does not create too much bitterness.

On tap at brewery, sampler flight. Orangey-amber color with white head around rim. No nose. Strong, mostly natural apricot flavor, almost exclusively fruit flavored. (I like this better than Pyramid’s apricot.)
