Commercial Description:
Combination of Munich, Caramel 80, and Rye malts was used for this bright red lager. It has a malty aroma but crisp clean flavor due to rye and Munich malts. Moderately hopped with German Tettnang for balance and then slowly lagered with German lager yeast, it is the brew to drink this holiday season.

On draught at the brewpub in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Pours a clear brownish copper brew with a creamy off-white head that has some excellent retention and great lacing. Aroma of multi-grain malt, some flowery hops, a touch of milk chocolate, rye bread and some toffee. Taste is medium bodied, plenty of malt flavor and character with flavors of semi-sweet multi-grain malt, flowery hops and some chocolate. Finish is semi-dry with a flowery hop and dry and roasted rye malt aftertaste. A solid specialty grain lagered beer.

On tap at Moosejaw. Hazy dark orange-red with a small white head. Crisp rye aroma with chocolate malt overtones. Malty, raisin and cocoa powder flavor with a light medicinal hoppiness. Pumpernickel bread finish. A touch watery in the finish. Still, a rather nice rye.
