Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Dec 25, 2008 On draught at the brewpub in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a thick, creamy and lumpy off-white head that has excellent retention and sticky lacing. Aroma of multi-grain malt, some caramel, toffee, nobel hops with some dry leaf character. Taste is medium bodied, flavors of toasted dark malt, some chocolate, flowery hops with a touch of toffee. Finish has a mild bitterness on top of a toasted dark malt aftertaste. Nice nobel hop character in this English Pale Ale. JMerritt (1313), Macomb, Illinois, USA Dec 18, 2008 On tap at Moosejaw. Light copper-brown with a creamy, off-white head. Moderately spicy hop nose with baked biscuit malts. Moderately bitter flavor, some piney hops and resin. Caramel malt base nicely balances. Fantastic effort by Moosejaw, would have again in a heartbeat.
