Does every Wisconsin brewpub have a honey ale? Clear pale yellow with the thinnest sheet of white for the head. Smells like opening the dishwasher one minute after the rinse cycle has completed, along with a few sweet honey undertones. Indistinguishable, tingly palate sweep. Thin, loose and watery. Lemon detergent acidity. A searing astringency of laundry power takes center stage and manifests most prominently in the aftertaste. Honey is more or less an afterthought.

Yellow with no carbonation and a thin white head. Honey barely with some grains in the nose. The taste has just a bit more honey but more hops that are citrusy and malts. Again, pretty easily drinkable but nothing too exciting to say here.

Pale gold color with a thin head. Very weak malt aroma. The honey is noticeable in the taste, but is very dry and muddled instead of being the highlight of the beer. The beer wastes away into a dead, semi-dry, grain water beer.

Very Pale Gold with White Ring. Grainy and Malt Aroma. Light Honey Notes...Dry and Hoppy..Wheat Tries to Complement Honey Flavor But Too Poor of an Attempt.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear, light, no head. Very clean, sweet aroma, more than a touch of malt, honey subdued, no hops. Drinkable.

A golden color, with a slightly sweet smell. Tasted like honey. It was simple, but fairly well done.

Dark straw color with a small white head. Dry malt aroma. Light malt and decent flavor hops aroma. A bit thin and watery in feel and a bit fizzy though.

A poor excuse for a microbrew. This is par with Miller Lite, right down to the semi-skunky aroma and flavor. Extremely light yellow in color, nearly transparent. If there is honey in this beer, I sure couldn’t detect it. I sure wish brewpubs would stop catering to the ignorant masses and making multiple versions of subpar light beer.
