| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 2, 2003 Hazy amber with medium off-white head. Aroma is floral and medium sweet. Taste is medium sweet, earthy/floral, fruity (apricot). Finishes nicely bitter (earthy/floral). Medium body. Was told the beer is much more intense (and a much better beer) when the hops are fresh (~September). CaptainCougar (5529), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma of some piny, almost soapy hops with a touch of caramel malt. Body starts with some sugary caramel and earthy, sopay bitter hop balance before a watery finish. Pretty bland overall. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 12, 2004 Sample at the brewpub. Lightly cloudy dark amber, pungent but sweetly orangy and hoppy...rather thin and watery, but some good smokiness and solid citrusy hops hold through. Skyview (4083), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 25, 2007 On tap at the brewpub in Wisconsin Dells, pours a clear copper brown brew with an average size off white head. Good lacing. Aroma of piney hops, caramel, some citrus peel, toffee, and multi-grain malt. Taste is medium body, lightly carbonated, smooth and a good hop bitter aftertaste. More like an extra pale ale than an IPA. Finish is smooth and a little dry. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
