Commercial Description:
Belgium Trappist Yeast is used in this medium-bodied and golden copper-colored brew. This yeast is from one of the few Trappist breweries left in the world whose yeast produce a distinct fruitiness & plum characteristics.

Cloudy amber, dark, with a small white head. Very little aroma - a bit of caramel is about it. Flavor is moderately sweet, mildly bitter with caramel, molasses and slightly cardboardy finish. Rather lacking in flavor and richness.

Courtesy of Skyview. Amber color with a thin head. Slight aroma of bananas. Sweet malt taste with cloves and a bit of coriander. A big improvement at Moosejaw.

On tap at the brewpub in Wisconsin Dells, pours a semi hazy golden amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head. Good lacing though. Aroma of rich wheat, bananas, caramel, a touch of yeast with some grassy hops. Taste is more like a hefeweizen than a Belgian Strong Ale. Medium body with a good balance of yeast, wheat and slightly carbonated. Finish is smooth, creamy and a light banana aftertaste. One of the brewery’s best brews so far.

Thanks to Skyview for sharing again. It is medium bodied and golden colored. Sweet, with a bit of caramel. Some light fruit and malt. Light overall, and not particularly Belgian.

Thanks to skyview for sharing his growler! Banana wheat nose that reminds me more of a Hefeweizen than a belgian strong. Nice wheaty body with a little malty flavor and a slight wheat profile.
