zdk (180), New York, USA Jul 12, 2009 Draft: Sweet nose, dark amber color with small white head. Smooth, medium body with light carb. Malty front with nice hoppy finish. Citrus overtones. A nice brew, but not as "dark" as they claim. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Jul 12, 2009 Bottle, 5%. Mild fruity aroma, slightly sweet with a hint of anise. Clear amber colour. The flavour has a little coriander and clove. Anise feel as well, but ever so subtle. Good maltiness, a little sugary. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Jul 8, 2009 Bottle 30cl. Clear medium amber color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, caramel, light nutty, light to moderate hoppy, light orange. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, spicy anis notes in flavor. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090626] fata2683 (836), Panama City, Florida, USA Dec 31, 2008 Bottle, pours clear amber with a thin off white head. Smells sweet and spicy. Burnt sugar, and malt on the nose. Flavors are pleasant with cinnamon sugar cookie and a peppery spice in the finish. The mouth is light with thin carbonation and a lingering finish. Straling (185), Heerlen, Netherlands Dec 10, 2008 Bottle 30cl.
Pours a clear copper colour with a small head that quickly disappears and little carbonation.
Smell is fresh and clear, some fruits there, little diversity but nonetheless pleasant.
Taste is a bit disappointing, has little uniqueness, simple, acceptable flavour, but nothing special. Borresteijn (1347), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 11, 2008 On tap. Amber colour, white head. Aroma of malts, caramel, hops. Flavour is malty, bitter, a bit fruity. Very average. chilangoglobal (97), Wagerningen, Netherlands Aug 7, 2008 Good taste, I love that balance of sweetness and bitterness, the sensation in the mouth is special since the bit sweet taste is covered by the gently bitter flavor ot the hops, the orange colour contrast with the brown head, and the carbonation gives a great personality to this beer. Yves (989), Beerse, Belgium Jun 5, 2008 Clear amber coloured beer. Few carbonation. Small white head. Buttery malty aroma. Full little creamy palate. Malty bit bitter ending.
