kidmartinek (731), austin, Texas, USA Aug 15, 2008 Pours copper color with a white head. Aroma is malty wheat or rye. Flavor is good and has a nice balance. It’s full but not too uch over the top. The texture is medium light and has a decent bite. Finish is malty, smooth and medium. rederic (1444), montréal, Quebec, Canada Apr 17, 2008 On tap at the brewery, amber-orangeih color, with a white head, nice flowery hop fruity, leafy nose with some cedary, coniferous and resiny accents, with a light toasted malt note, with a limey, citrus aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, juicy floral hop, grassy, leafy character, with an assertive bitterness, that we find in i.p.a. not in lager as they present their beer as a lager, with a faint minty accent, and a subtle malt toastiness, leading towards a hoppy, leafy finish. heemer77 (3752), Savannah, Missouri, USA Apr 11, 2008 Drew told me that this is more of a hopped up lager, rather than a true IPA. The body was cloudy bright gold. Decently hopped with some grapefruit in the nose. There is also a little bit of hay. The taste had some decent notes of grapefruit with some toast in the background. A little light, but still very drinkable. SpudClampDawg (945), Jasper, Indiana, USA Dec 31, 2005 Called a lager in the dinner menu and then compared to an IPA on the beer list? Anyway, more like a hopped up pilsener than an IPA - lots of Bavarian, grassy hops throughout. Nice bitter finish, but overall lackluster. OK, but nothing to really brag about for a 10th anniversary brew. Drew (2377), Kent, Ohio, USA Nov 21, 2005 Orange peel and sweet aroma - the only beer they had with a strong nose. Bright golden, medium head. Sugar sweet malts, grainy palate, big bright juicy hop presence. An enjoyable pint. Nobody there seemed to know too much about it when I asked for more details.
