I thin this is one of those beers linked to a fundraiser. Testicular torsion syndrome, I believe (Go Team Venture). Pours black with an off-white head. Has an interestingly smokey roasted aroma. You could swear that there is salmon in there. A solid stout. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 16, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Pours very dark brown with a clinging tan head. The aroma has brown sugar, molasseses and roasted chocolate malt. Medium / full body that is slick and has lightly sharp carbonation. The taste has much of what was on the aroma along with some honey traits. The finish has lots of charred malt. There is also a bit of a hop kick at the end. As the beer warms a coffee presence becomes apparent. A respectable stout. Soonah (970), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 15, 2007 This beer was created by a patron of the Morgan Street Brewery who is a survivor of breast cancer. The beer tap handle was a pink ribbon. The beer is brewed with molasses, brown sugar and something called acai berries which is supposed to be high in anti-oxidants. The beer poured ultra-dark brown with a one-finger tall tan head that left good lacing. The aroma was heavy on molasses and brown sugar. The flavor was molasses, smoke and some fruit (I’ll go out on a limb and assume this was the acai). Damned watery mouthfeel that plagues every beer they produce was unfortunately hanging around for this one too.
