Aug 15, 2008 Purs dark brown with an amber tint. Has a 1/2 inch head and good retention. Aroma is malty with a little sourness. Flavor is very malty bland with a lot of biterness and some doughyness. Mouthfeel is light and watery. Finish is flavorful but runny.

Apr 17, 2008 On tap at the brewery, reddish-amber color, with a very small white head, mostly the ring, toasty, grainy malt nose, with some toffee, caramel nuttiness, with a hint of fruitiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp, fruity, toasty, grainy, malty character, with a light floral hop note, with some nutty and toffee accents, leading towards a malty, lingering hop bitterness finish.

Mar 2, 2008 Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark copper color with a thin off-white head that diminishes steadily. Spotty lacing. Toasted malt aroma with a touch of toffee. Light-bodied with flavors of malt, butterscotch and mild hops. The finish is mostly sweet and short with a bit of fruit and malt in the aftertaste. Below average overall.

Jan 7, 2008 From the brewery on 12/4/07. Nice clean malt flavor follows a malty aroma. Hints of something -- citrus? Apple? White grapes? -- in the flavor.

Oct 9, 2006 tap at augusta bottoms beerfest. wow, this was bad. This is what i was expecting from this brewery. however, only one bad beer out of 4-not too bad considering the source. pours copper hue with a very fizzy off-white head. nose of diacytl-total butterscotch and buttered popcorn. buttery flavors with a hint of toasted malt underneath. this could have been a good beer minus the diacytl. not good whatsoever.
