Comments: A vinous gueuze with a sharp nose full of yogurt. Has grown very lactic with the years, yet a certain crystallisation of the few residual sugars can be perceived in the shape of soft brown sugar notions. Kinda juicy if tart and tannic. A memorable experience and a charming beer, but perhaps not top-shelf.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 2, 2007 Amber of color with a beige head. An aroma of horse and sour notes. A flavor with sweet notes, perfumed apples and with nice sour notes. JoeinUccle (911), Brussels, Belgium
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 8, 2007 37.5 cL at In de Verzekering de Grote Dorst. Translucent copper color with a big, white head. Sour grapefruit, dust aroma. Flavor’s center is musty, tart, juicy grapefruit, ending in a raspy explosion of dry cobwebs. The dryness just hits like a wall--I loved it. I kept taking another sip and waiting to hit that wall again, and it never failed. Enjoyed the hell out of this. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2007 Bottle. Golden colour with a little head. Little sour and acid aroma, also light smooth flavour of sourness and acidity. Very refreshing and ends with a little oak finish, with both vanilla and wood-like. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 8, 2007 (Bottle 37,5 cl) Beautiful, clear, amber golden with a dense, almost creamy, off-white head. Distinct notes of Brett, horse blanket and very woody touches. Medium-bodied, very distinct notes of wood - almost bourbon-like. Wood, vanilla and Brett. A beautifully balanced Gueuze. Lovely. 090507 oh6gdx (9102), Vasa, Finland

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2007 Very dry, sour, somewhat spicy. Tangerine-nectar, salivation inspiring goodness. Honestly hard to rate after having other gueuzes, so I’ll let the numbers speak. Yeah. MesandSim (5943), London, Greater London, England

Bottle at Weekend of S.F. Not as good as the older version by a long stretch. Tangy, a little thin, slight malt and some citrus. Let down by some cardboard notes. Will re-rate next time I get the old version.
