DSG (1501), Tel Aviv, Israel Sep 24, 2009 [9/6/08] A few years-old bottle at a Moriau cafe, I think it’s in Sint-pieters-leeunw. Served by the actual Moriau steeper/blender. Dark unclear ruby color with a beige-pinkish head. Aroma of cherries and some cellar quality. Sour earthy flavor with cherries, lots of wood and some sweeter fruity notes. Light astringency in the finish. Medium-bodied. A great Kriek. duff (5474), Surrey, Greater London, England Sep 11, 2009 Dusty old bottle at Moriau. This was Pretty neat stuff. Some subtle sweetnes from the cherry, quickly taken over by tart and dry cherry flavours. Some funk and farmhouse aromas/flavours. Really good, ii’m glad we stopped at this place. yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 13, 2009 Bottle, 75cl corked, shared by KimJohansen at Copenhagen Beerfestival. Unknown vintage. Thx a lot Kim. It pours a hazy, orange-red body under a small, creamy, off-white head. Cherries, some almond and white sugar in the aroma, unusual but nice. The flavor has cellar in the background, some sweetness, cherry, almond and a nice balancing sourness. Pleasant slightly sourish, palate cleansing moutfheel. A nice one, really balanced and quenching. (090517) Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 26, 2009 Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours a hazy amber golden with a creamy light brown head. Very fresh and tart cherry aroma. Medium body with a very soft mouthfeel, a little low in carbonation with sweet’n’sour cherry accents. Lightly tart finish. A real treat - a very, very pleasant and balanced Kriek. 300509 Hansen (2235), Randers, Denmark Jun 7, 2009 CBF 2009: Amber-red. Has a white head, mostly lasting.
