Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of pivinzub. Malty nose with hints of boiled vegetables. Rather sour. Malt accentuated. Metallic. Poor palate. Hay and raisin showing up. Unpleasant metallic finish which is reminiscent of boiled vegetables. A really dissapointing Alt. Thanks a lot pivnizub.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts mild malty, modest dry. Gets drier in the end, also notes of coffee in the background. Good Alt!

Draught at Fiege’s Stamhaus in Bochum, on December 27, 2008. Clear dark brown color, fluffy tan head. Malty, dry taste. Malty scent. Medium to spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Brown coloured beer with some average carbonation and an average white head. Grassy and hoppy aroma with some light malty touches. Full palate. Finish is bitter, light herby and sweet roasted touched with a longer dry and rather strange ending. Medium one.

Bottle. Musty brown sugar malt aroma. Reddish brown color with moderate head. Strong grass/green hay flavor - light caramel malt. I lke the grassy flavor but not much malt, smoke or other typical altbier flavors.

Bottle, 4.8%. Dusty aroma, like brick dust. Beautiful clear dark brown colour. Nice stable creamy head. The flavour starts dry and slightly metallic. Turns a little malty but ends with slightly rough bitterness. A good example of an Alt, but that is not a favourite style of mine. Gets more malty and mellow, less rough as it warms up.

Bottled (thanks Papsoe!). Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is wood, hops, hay and some mild caramel malts in it too. Flavour is wooden, fruity, malty and big hoppyness creeping up through the other flavours. Quite hayish and sweet in the finish.
