Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of pivnizub. I am really not a fan of the style- I admit. Boiled vegetables and pumpernickel showing up in both nose and taste. Slightly acidic. Poor flat palate. Mediocre at best. Thanks a lot pivnizub!

Bottled: Aroma with notes of metall and stable. Notes of yeast. Flavor is dry, few sweet and light to medium bodied. Hoppy finish, dry bitter end. Nice.

Draught at Fiege’s Stamhaus in Bochum, on December 27, 2008. Clear deep red color with hints of black, smallish tan head. Malty taste. Malty scent. Moussy moutheel, low bitterness.

Bottle. Medium high fluffy but lasting off-white head. Pitch black body. Caramel wallnut aroma. Flavor pretty sweet with caramel and nuts. Low carbonation and a short aftertaste.

Bottle. Strong smell of chocolate and a little bit of coffee, light sour. Average sized brown creamy head, normal long lasting, black body. Heavy bitter taste, average duration. Medium body, creamy and watery texture, lively carbonation. Nice one, reminds me a little bit of an Stout.

Bottle, thx to papsoe. It pours a dark ruby body under a nice creamy head. A bit sourish in the aroma, with roasted malt and some coffee. Roasted malt, some burnt notes and a little touch of dried fruits in the flavor, finishing with roasted malt, some coffee and a little fruit. Medium, quite dry, yet slightly sticky mouthfeel. I’m not very impressed by this one, but at least it’s not bad. (080412)
