Bottle. Fruitcake malt aroma. Reddish amber color with small head. Lightly sweet fruity flavor up front with moderate nutty maltiness coming out later. Pleasant tasting.

Murky orange in color with good head and lacing. The nose consists of earth, minerals, and some malt. Smooth and balanced going down. Nice session beer.

Medium ornage body with a slight off white head. The aroma is iced tea with some caramel and light toffee. There is also some earthy dirt goodness. The taste is light toffee with some bitter tea and some grapefruit rinds. This could use a little more malt to balance out the dry finish. Otherwise, an ok bitter.

Deep golden body, very light head. Heavy malted hops in the aroma, some light wheat accents. Good english ale flavor, very typical of the style. Some light, but smooth hops in the ending.

This was a poor show alround. Burntish malts leads a rubbish aroma. Taste is also unbalanced and one dismentional, with bad carbonation. I walk across the road, come in, apply for jobs and make history!

This beer has a nice fresh yeast aroma. It is maize colored with a small head. This beer is thin with a bitter taste that fades fast.

Drinkable, but not my cup of tea. Although the nice orange color looks good in the glass.

Looked a bit ’thin’ and fizzywhen I poured it, but lovelymalty smell and mouthfeel. Malty, caramel, sugar , sweet toffee. Enjoyable beer. I had ’speckled hen’ few years back, but didn’t enjot it, either bad bottle or I had not weaned myself off lager then! However I thoroughly enjoyed this one...........reduced to 79p per bottle at local Asda.
