Came in a clear bottle, in between yellow and orange. Has that typical English toffee palate. Malty/doughy nose. Not much happening here, but fine as a session offering.

Pours bright amber into an English pint. White conglomerate head with medium retention leaves spotted sheets. Dusty malt aromas. Upfront sweet butterscotch and toffee with a crisp English hop finish.

12 ounce bottle from Market Street Wineshop Downtown Charlottesville, VA. Pours an amber color with a large, creamy head. Good retention and very nice lacing. Very malty and slightly grainy aroma with the faintest hint of hops. The taste is very similar, but with some toffee and a tart finish. Creamy mouthfeel and medium bodied. Finally, a beer from Greene King that doesn’t completely suck.

A good version of an english bitter with a bit of a bourbon/scotch like finish... Not too complex but definitely tasty... Alcohol is just right to make it relatively sessionable but the finish detracts from the sessionability slightly...

Clear bottle poured a clear copper with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, light pine and a hint of skunk. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light citrus with a smooth lightly bitter finish.

Bottle. Amberish with little head. Smooth beer with a not much going on. Would make a good session brew.

355 ml. Clear copper with a small creamy disc atop that deposits a delicate frost all over the pint glass. Some light skunk fades away into a nice aroma of toffee, toasted spicy wood, apple and a whiff of orange. Flavors of musty leather, caramel, cinnamon-apple, earthy-spiced wood, and toasted pecan lightly drizzled with brown sugar. Good flavors and balance in this nice session ale. Light body is watery, dry on the finish and lightly hop-tingly.
