12 oz. bottle. Pours a crystal clear gold with an orange hue and a thin white head that quickly disappeared. This is probably one of the strongest smelling beers I have come across - and not that that’s a good thing. Aroma of wet leather, green leaves, and malt. The taste was very heavy with these same qualities, although the malt was less noticeable. Moderate bitterness at the finish. This is not something I will revisit.

Taste 7/8 bottle. Looks: Gold body with thin white top. Aroma: Sour yeast, very little else. Taste: Yeast heavy, thin body. Light hops spice. BLAND.

Bottle(skunked bottle!) this is the 2nd time I got a skunked bottle from Greene King and it sucks because I would really enjoy this beer. The bottle had a rust ring around the top when I took the cap off. Aroma of malt and skunk. Nice copper color with a thin white head and some carbonation. No lacing AT ALL. I don’t even want to rate the rest of this because it tastes like skunk piss. There are hints of malt and it has a bitter finish but nothing else. This bottle kind of tastes like a mix of Bud and an English malt. DAMN CLEAR BOTTLES! Would like to try again on tap somewhere. * had another bottle in my basement and I dug it out and this one was only starting to skunk and was a little bit better. Smelled a bit better and the taste was MUCH better. Still don’t think it’s great but would love to try on tap somewhere.

Dry, slightly hoppy aroma. Flavour is dry. Nice balance of malt and hop. A bit plain and bland overall.

Removed from fridge and poured into glass. Nutty sweet-toasted grains with caramel notes. Herbal-woody-orange hops. Finishes with a touch of tannic leather. Smiliar to Old Speckled Hen, only with tannins.

(ENGLAND) Copper color brew with a dissipating white head. There is a carmel / floral aroma with light malty mouthfeel, and a slight dry aftertaste. nice enjoyable brew that reminds me of Old Speckled Hen.
