275ml bottle from Shropshire. Vintage 1981. Brewed in the original Morrell’s Oxford Brewery. Slight hiss on opening. A pale, unclear amber. Quite sweet and toffeeish. Some marmite. Hints of cardboard. Creamy, light carbonation. This is a decent ale which has some Belgian, Bier de Garde and Saison qualities about it, in addition to English Strong Ale. A pale ale of decent strength and character. Nice one.
